Welcome to the website of the one and only baroque student orchestra of the Netherlands, based in Utrecht: the Kunstorkest. Rehearsals are (partly) in English.
We perform music from the period between 1600 and 1800, from Bach to Mozart. Come and join the Kunstorkest during of of our rehearsals! Through the Kunstorkest you can discover new music, new ways of playing and new people. Very special about the Kunstorkest is that we are lead by our principle violinist, the baroque expert Hans Lub. Because of this the Kunstorkest plays more intimately than bigger orchestras and every week everyone learns new things from our artistic leader.
